Cappadocia is the region that emerged with the erosion of soft layers formed by lava and ashes sprayed by Erciyes, Hasandağı and Göllüdağ 60 million years ago by rain and wind for millions of years.
Cappadocia is located Central Anatolia, largely in Nevsehir Province, in Turkey. It covers an area of approximately 5000 square kilometers. Cappadocia was formed by the erosion of an ancient volcano. Its name comes from the Persian name Katpaktukya which means the land of beautiful horses.
